Safe Space

Created as a final project for Serious Games at Brunel University, Safe Space is a single-player visual novel focused on sexual health. 

The player follows the protagonist, a councillor-in-training to be a licensed sex therapist, as they uncover the plethora of sexual issues in a clinical therapy setting by communicating with numerous individuals and couples. With a combination of more traditional visual novel dialogue as well as hands-on demonstrations of therapeutic techniques, gameplay will revolve around making people comfortable, asking thoughtful questions, and actively listening to the clients. Only after the final session with a client will the player be able to see if they have helped them in understanding their own sexuality as well as their current/future partners’.
